Here is what happened:

• The server hosting the IAA web site and forum was hacked.
• It was decided that the forum should have it's own domain--a virtual air gap.
• The monthly back-up of the forum--from which the forum was salvaged--was not perfect nor was the live forum database available; no users data was captured and there were some SQL/php issues.
• A new home for the forum was found.
• The forum was rebuilt and was upgraded to version phpBB 3.x.

The way forward:

• Due to the imperfections in the forum back-up, ALL users will have to re-register.
• All former posts have been archived and attributed to the user historian; this is because phpBB software requires that all posts be attributed to a user and all user data was lost. If you want to pick up from where a post stopped, request that one of the administrators or moderators move the thread to the new General Discussion area.
• There will be a learning curve for all of us, so don't hesitate to use the Forum Tech Issues, Lessons Learned FAQs and Practice Area.
