SUMMARY:St. Louis International Cartridge Show (SLICS)
DESCRIPTION:Note: IAA Board Meeting\, IAA Live Auction\, IAA Silent Auction and IAA Membership Registrations happen at this show. \nwww.CartridgeShow.com – For Detailed Schedule \nThe St. Louis International Cartridge Show (SLICS) began in 2000 after moving from Chicago where it was known as the Chicagoland Show. This centrally-located show has been the largest and most attended show for cartridge collectors for over 40 years. In addition to collectors\, the show is well-attended by those in the forensics industry as well as other government agencies across the world. \n  \nFor many people this is the only show they attend each year and many take days just to travel to this show from around the country and world. It is the premier event that everyone recommends and sets on their schedule for the week leading up to Easter every year. \n\n\nContact: Aaron Newcomer\nPhone: (330) 754-4216\nEmail: info@cartridgeshow.com\n\n\n\nhttps://cartridgeshow.com/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/CartridgeShow

SUMMARY:Engels Collectibles Cartridge Auction
DESCRIPTION:Engel’s Collectibles was created in 2001. There was a perceived need to have a company that catered to all levels of collectors\, from the beginner to the most advanced. With that in mind\, the surplus of several collectors was gathered together\, along with the raiding of the “goody box” of Victor Engel\, and Auction #1\, 20 October 2001\, was created. \nThere were 859 lots in that first telephone auction\, and some of the high-lites were: .55/.303 Canadian Boys\, .44 Henry Merwin cone base\, .46 FA rimfire proof\, and a W.R.A.Co. .50-140 Express. \nSubsequent auctions have been held each year thereafter\, with a number of notable cartridges being purchased. The highest price paid to date was $4300 for a .450 Gardner-Gatling with a Pomeroy Explosive bullet from World War One. However it is the philosophy of the company to offer collector’s ammunition from $5 and up so that all ‘bullet’ enthusiasts can add specimens at all price levels. Thousands of variations have been acquired over the years to fill in ‘holes’ in collectors’ drawers. \nEach issue has been dedicated\, with the exception of #1\, to a collector who has gone on to the big cartridge show in the sky. Beginning with Auction #7\, current members of this unique fraternity will be featured on both the cover and a second page. It is time to get to know more about those we see at ammunition shows around the world. \nAs with all successful companies\, Engel’s Collectibles has evolved over time\, improving and modifying to meet the needs of its clientele. We listen to our customers and make changes when they come up with better ideas. For that we thank you for making us a better organization. \n  \nhttps://www.engelscollectibles.com/

SUMMARY:Geibel Ordnance Collection Auction
DESCRIPTION:This Things That Go Boom Auction is one of the finest ordnance collections in existence! The collection has been described by experts in the field of military and civil ordnance as one of the top collections in the Western hemisphere next to Daryl Lynn. The depth and scope includes over 1000 items from well over 26 countries and covers all fields of explosives from grenades to rocket launchers and from unknown rarities to “one of a kind” prototypes. Jim’s categories of pursuit in short list order spans the last 120 years of demolition equipment\, grenades\, rifle grenades\, riot control chemical agents and projectiles\, timers\, gas pen-guns and more. Also being offered and often overlooked is Jim’s extensive reference library and notes with 100s of manuals and books both civil and military. Jim had the professional expertise and a passion for the subject that allowed him to have access and acquire items right from manufacturers\, the largest collectors shows and from his vast network of collector friends. Now it is time to pass his fantastic collection to the next generation of enthusiasts. James H. Geibel passed away at the age of 70 on March 19\, 2019. A Chicago native and Army Veteran\, Jim served at Ft. Holabird US Army Intelligence School in Maryland. He followed his military service with a long career as a police officer. He retired from the police force as a Baltimore County’s Senior Hazardous Devices Technician and as Program Analyst/Hazardous Devices Technican of the ATF. Jim was passionate about military ordnance and explosives and was considered to be an expert in the field by colleagues around the world.\n\n\n\n\nCatalog with Highlights: https://www.donleyauctions.com/_files/ugd/058f3b_fb2e06f0c56841a28733aeb8f7200a6a.pdf\nFull Catalog PDF: https://058f3b85-8100-4cef-8e7b-5fba28f2d963.usrfiles.com/ugd/058f3b_be4cf85bed0c4cf08ecea1c21f2db4fa.pdf\n\n\n\nFull catalog and bidding online at: https://donleyauctions.hibid.com/catalog/523029/march-16—geibel-ordnance-collection
