Jim’s categories of pursuit in short list order spans the last 120 years of demolition equipment, grenades, rifle grenades, riot control chemical agents and projectiles, timers, gas pen-guns and more. Also being offered and often overlooked is Jim’s extensive reference library and notes with 100s of manuals and books both civil and military. Jim had the professional expertise and a passion for the subject that allowed him to have access and acquire items right from manufacturers, the largest collectors shows and from his vast network of collector friends. Now it is time to pass his fantastic collection to the next generation of enthusiasts. James H. Geibel passed away at the age of 70 on March 19, 2019. A Chicago native and Army Veteran, Jim served at Ft. Holabird US Army Intelligence School in Maryland. He followed his military service with a long career as a police officer. He retired from the police force as a Baltimore County’s Senior Hazardous Devices Technician and as Program Analyst/Hazardous Devices Technican of the ATF. Jim was passionate about military ordnance and explosives and was considered to be an expert in the field by colleagues around the world.
